Calculation of future income to a certain value date by discounting future cash flows at a certain interest rate. It is also used when converting a credit into equity in a company. In the case of unemployment benefits, this term refers to the fact that an unemployed worker requests an advance payment of the unemployment benefit from the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) to finance an investment in a new business or to pay their Social Security contributions as a self-employed person, for example.
